About LifeSupport.Training
Hi, I’m Jonathan Jung, RRT-NPS, an ECMO Specialist and respiratory therapist.
LifeSupport.Training is my growing site for ECMO learning, critical care content, and practical bedside education.
Right now, the main content on this site is ECMO 143: AI-Assisted Journey, my newsletter where I write about ECMO concepts, terminology, physiology, devices, clinical scenarios, and lessons from the bedside.
I don’t write as the final authority on ECMO. I write as a working ECMO Specialist who is still learning every day. My goal is to take complex topics, study them carefully, and explain them in plain language so they make sense, first for me, and hopefully for others learning this craft.
I use AI tools, source material, real clinical questions, and a Feynman-style approach: if I can’t explain it clearly, I probably don’t understand it well enough yet.
Alongside this, I also created ECMO 143: A Patient & Family Guide, a plain-language resource to help patients and families understand ECMO without unnecessary medical noise. Same mission of clarity, just written for people facing ECMO at the bedside rather than clinicians in training.
I’m grateful for the experienced clinicians who’ve helped me grow. This site is my way of learning out loud and sharing useful work along the way.
