About LifeSupport.Training
About Jonathan
Hi, I’m Jonathan Jung, RRT-NPS, an ECMO Specialist and respiratory therapist.
LifeSupport.Training is a practical ECMO education site built around clinical learning, plain-language explanation, and AI-assisted study.
The main professional newsletter on this site is ECMO 143: AI-Assisted Journey, where I write about ECMO physiology, terminology, devices, troubleshooting, clinical scenarios, and lessons from the bedside. My goal is to make complex ECMO topics clearer, more practical, and easier to understand.
I do not write as the final authority on ECMO. I write as a working ECMO Specialist who studies real clinical questions, learns continuously, and shares practical insights along the way.
I use AI for research, organizing ideas, challenging assumptions, and improving clarity. The questions, clinical perspective, and final editorial decisions are mine. I think of AI as a learning and writing partner, not a replacement for clinical judgment.
Alongside ECMO 143, I also created ECMO 143: A Patient & Family Guide, a plain-language resource to help patients and families better understand ECMO without unnecessary medical jargon.
I’m grateful for the experienced clinicians who have helped me grow. This site is my way of sharing useful lessons, practical tools, and clearer explanations with others learning the craft.
